One valuable takeaway from this project was learning to create a plan for when you decide to move out and go to college. The project helped me to see the cost of a college tuition and if it is worth it. It helps to see if the city you decide to live in, study, and work is within your paycheck. To see the cost of everything in the city from apartment, transportation, and cell phone bill. It helps you to create a plan of what to think about when you decide to moveout and go on your own. In my opinion, I find this mini project to be very helpful. It helps to think about the cost of living in a city and the coat of your college. To take into consideration that taxes exist and therefore are taken from your pay, meaning what you think you are making is going to the taxes. It helps to see what you may be making in your job by dividing your net income by 12 to see your monthly income, therefore you can see what you are making and if you will be able to pay anything. It's very useful to know things like this so you do not go into adulthood all blind thinking you are making 12k a month. In my honest opinion there is nothing to improve about this project, everything was answered and learn including taxes. My starting salary was seemed to have been able to cover my house bill which was 700 and maybe has enough to pay for the other expenses including cell phone bill. Financial skills were applied in budgeting monthly expenses by finding the cost of everyday things then adding them all up to see what I might spent every month and then seeing if there is enough money left over to save. Economic skill was seen to help with finding cost of thing in today's day and seeing if the city was worth living in or if moving out was the right choice. Business Literacy skills was seen in seeing if the job that was picked for this project would pay enough even with taxes.
