The Point of the work was easily simple, as you watch the video, make sure to take notes on the main point of video, or some important details you want your partner to know and summarize in their paragraph. 21st Century Skills
21st Century Skills this assignment address for me has to be Communication Skills. Even though my communication skills are bad I was still able to explain to my partner what the video was about. Can't say I did very good but communication in this assignment was needed and I had to do the very best I could, so I didn't let my partner down. Explaining what happen in the video was hard even if I had notes. Just getting everything in order was hard.
Yet I couldn't say I've improved my communication skills, it's very hard to talk to someone when they are not interested in what you have to say. It was difficult to get the notes in order so you could read, plus also understanding what you just watched. To improve on this assignment I could of had the important information down instead of random notes. Yet, I'm still very proud of myself for doing this assignment to the best of my ability. I could also use the communication skills in life because it's always needed.

4th quarter: Cuban Missile Crisis
The Cuban Missile Crisis, the new leader of Cuba, Fidel Castro, began aligning with the Soviets and the American government, under the leadership of President John F. Kennedy attempted to invade Cuba but it was a failure. They then wanted to sabotage the communist government of Cuba from within. The Soviets seized the opportunity provided by the botched invasion of Cuba to move weapons (missiles) there. The Soviets positioned these as retaliation for the US's installation of missiles in Turkey, missiles that were armed and ready to launch at the USSR. These nuclear-equipped missiles could have been fired at any location in the United States.
Summary of the assignment is that a group of either 3 or 4 people were to work together. We were given a secret file and in it were photos of a threat, we were to look at the photo to make out what the threat could be and to then write a letter to the president of that time that there is a threat, and this is what you could do. It was a Cuban Missile Crisis simulation, we had 4 to 5 options of what kind of action we could take. We picked the peaceful route which was just to issue a blockade of Cuba so they couldn’t get anything from the USSR. We wrote a letter to the president, giving them a reason why we think this option is best, to not create more problems.
The objective was this just to make out what the threat could be, which was, there were missiles, Cuba had ties with the USSR and the United States were afraid that they would fire the missile into the U.S. We were to read the 5 options as a group and gave the pros and cons of each one. Like say, to block off Cuba so they couldn’t trade with the USSR. My group chose that option because it was the most peaceful option, though it still had its cons. The people would not have many imports of goods but to be honest I don’t think the president would have cared too much.
Global Awareness relates to current world events nowadays like how the U.S. invaded Cuba, Europe is invading Ukraine. The U.S now is just providing military support but not really getting involved similar to the USSR giving them missiles. Communication also was used because this was a group project having to talk to each other about what might have been going on with the photos provided. Thinking and Problem solving, with the 5 options to write to the president about we had to think of why blocking import from the USSR to Cuba was the best option, it was the most peaceful and the most action being done. With that we all thought why blocking their way was best writing that letter to the president giving our statement and hoping it was best.
