American Hero Project
The American hero project was a project for you to talk about your hero and why they are important and why they are a hero to you and history.
I talked about a women named Susan Brownell Anthony, a person that once fought Women's rights, an American activist. She was a strong leader who would travel around the country giving speeches in favor of women's suffrage. She would bring awareness for equality to the United States, she would go and protest even if the weather was bad.
21st Century Skills
Informational skills-We would need to do research on different websites to get different information, though some researches are the same they might be worded differently and have a different understanding/meaning.
Thinking and Problem Solving- If the wording of our pages were too long, we had to find a way to word it that it makes sense and it not too long.
Civic Literacy and Engagement-Learning about Anthony made it so that I understand about equality and that no one is above the other, men or women.
Interpersonal Skills-As others were presenting we were told to respect the presenter and not to speak or be a distraction.
Quarter 3
Decade Project
I think throughout 2nd and 3rd quarter we were working on Decade Project that was really worth a lot of points in our grades.
The Decade Projects was where you were given a year like 1900-1909(that was my year) and you will research things about like what happened in that time, who was president, ect. But we were given topics to research about everyday, there were 11 topic in total. Say the topic was who was president in you year and you will write 5 points worth of 5 words at least of information about the president. Then you will write the 5 points and make them into paragrage after that you will find photos that represent the 5 points, as say you have the president's name you find a picture of what he looks likes. After all that will make them into a presentation that you will soon have to put all those 11 topic into one slideshow ready for presentation day. Not gotta lie, I have a bad habit of procrastinating so I never really worked on the slide till 2 weeks before presentation day, but I did finish it in time cause I got help with researching topic but other than that I did all the work and presented.
